Money can be intoxicating, and is often viewed as the ticket to happiness. I enjoyed the words that Gioia used to describe money in his poem. Most of them I was familiar with, but others I was unsure of. One of the phrases that I was unfamiliar with was "Ginnie Maes," which according to ginniemae.gov they "help make affordable housing a reality for millions of low- and moderate-income households across America by channeling global capital into the nation's housing markets." Money may not buy happiness, but it can make life less stressful and more comfortable.
